Embedded lock power management in iSTAR Edge controllers provides powered lock (also known as wet lock) outputs with individual resettable fused protection. This eliminates the need for the additional power supplies and fused power distribution boards normally required for traditional installations.
Security risks are significantly reduced with iSTAR Edge controller features, such as denial-of-service protection against network intrusion, global anti-passback and advanced peer-to-peer clustering.
The PoE technology available in iSTAR Edge controllers reduces wiring and equipment costs dramatically. Plus, since PoE is provided as an optional module, you only pay for PoE when you need it.
A dedicated input for a fire alarm tie-in automatically releases selected door lock outputs in the event of a fire, improving your life safety posture.
